Marvel Wheelchairs

Modularity

“There are many reasons why we chose the modular concept…give people choices”

The Marvel chair was designed with a modular concept. It essentially consists of three parts; a seating platform that is mounted to a frame, to which a castor wing is attached.
There are many reasons why we chose the modular concept, but at the foundation of all of the reasons is the desire we have to give people choices.
We’re just starting out, but we have big plans for additional products in our line–up.
The one that we’re currently working on is an off-road castor wing that will be compatible with the Marvel frame – it will allow the user to swap the everyday castor wing assembly out for an off-road front end with bigger castor wheels and a wider stance. Paired with a set of Rogue Tundra off-road wheels, it will be the ultimate off-road wheelchair machine! For anyone who wants to get off the pavement and onto the grass, it will allow them to do that without buying a whole new off-road chair.
Another benefit to the modular design is portability and storage. Broken down into the three main parts and with the wheels off, no part weighs more than 8 pounds, making it easier to lift and store in the back seat of a car, or with the backrest folded down, in an overhead luggage compartment of an airplane.
